Things I learned at speech/debate this weekend:

• people don’t know who Aung San Suu Kyi is
• if the opp contests your definition of this house, accuse them of ethnocentrism (ha ha)
• open parli final rounds are intense
• and sometimes people walk out of rounds??? (DRAMA)
• there are people who know enough about Estonia to roll out facts off the top of their heads
• parli will never stop making me feel like an ignorant dumbass
• at least one judge finds frills offensive
